I am an intellectual guy who appreciates the same in my friends and partners. I love strong personalities and people who can spar well in witty repartee. That being said, I am not all about cranial pursuits- I am a pretty avid motorcyclist, a runner, hiker and have camped all over the Northwest.
I love quirky senses of humor-as my collection of friends aptly display. I have a professional job, and truly enjoy it, but try not to let that get in the way of living and enjoying what I have in my life.

I can be a social butterfly-talking to anyone about anything, or I can be quiet and wrap myself in a book or go for a long run in the rain. I like to think that makes me more balanced and not just indecisive about being an introvert or extrovert. I am looking for someone to keep me thinking, challenge my ideas and odd notions and be willing to run off and listen to an odd band at a venue, dress up for fancy dress party (which are awesome fun) or hop on the motorcycle for a trip to the coast.

What am I looking for in a partner? A person who challenges me, is willing to go do new things with me, as well as drag me out of myself to do new things. I like spending lots of time with my partner-but do enjoy spending some time apart. I appreciate a strong, independent personality-someone with their own personality and ideas.

A friend asked me what a perfect day would be for me: Waking up satiated and wrapped up with my partner, make a good breakfast-then head out on the bike for a long ride-stop someplace for lunch, a quick hike or looking out over a lake and talking, then home, a good shower together and a pint and burger and the pub. After, a movie together or card games with a pile of friends!
