I am admittedly a big nerd. I collect toys, mostly Japanese robots. I like the usual sci-fi, nerd stuff: comic books, video games, Star Trek, Joss Whedon, etc. I own my own weight in Lego. I'm pretty good at origami.

One of my favorite things to do is get together with friends for some boardgames. We're big fans of Ticket to Ride, Catan, Resistance, etc. When the weather is nice I like to play disc golf. I also participate in Nerf wars some weekends, which is EXACTLY as geeky as it sounds: adults (and some kids) running around pelting each other with Nerf darts. If you think you look cool while you're doing it, then you're doing it wrong.

I like to go camping, anything from "car camping" to actual primitive backpacking trips.

I'm not terribly interested in music, but I do like it. I play harmonica passably and guitar badly. I like poppy music with danceable beats best. Some favorites are Spacehog, Daft Punk, Kula Shaker, Donovan, and Chumbawamba. Mostly I listen to podcasts when I'm driving or doing chores. Savage Love, Joe Rogan, Ari Shaffir, Penn Jilette and Kevin Smith are on my playlist.

I watch a LOT of Netflix. All genres.

I do like drinking. Bourbon is my favorite liquor followed closely by gin. I'm also a beer fan - a nice, hoppy IPA is my favorite. I like wine ok but I don't really know much about it.

I am a "420" fan.

I smoke cigarettes. I am able to switch over to e-cig for most of my nicotine needs.

I went vegan in 2010, mostly for ethical reasons. I'm not a jerk about it, though I admit that when I first went vegan I was kinda "holier than thou" about it. I've mellowed. If you eat animal products I'm fine with that. Veganism is something each person comes to on their own terms.

I am a big fan of Dan Savage. I like his ethical stances. I'd like to consider myself "GGG."

I have a little dog and a cat. Dogs are the best people I know.

I recently joined/founded a comedy sketch troupe. It's fun and I'm really proud of stuff I wrote and performed. I like to think I'm funny.

I don't have any kids, but I don't mind if you do.

I'm not a "player" or a "Barney Stinson." My ideal mate would be a friend, playmate, lover, and partner. I'd like to take things slow, but I am definitely not a commitmentphobe. I am definitely looking for that elusive cute nerd to date with LTR as the goal.
